Default HELP with BBMessenger problem

I recently changed my BB for a few days (testing out an 8900).

Once i changed device on BIS and startedusng the 8900, it was easy to continue conversations with my BBM contacts as there was an option to 'send PIN update now', i have now started using my Bold again, and i dont have that option ...

None of my BBM contacts can send me messages, they get the tick but no delivery, when i send messages, i get tick and delivery, but the messages dont get delivered.

Is there any way to fix this besides re-requesting ALL of my contacts??

I think that you need to use the switch device wizard on your DM.

Yeah, this should fix your problem and do everything in the background. Also make sure you resend your service books. That may play a part as well.

I had this after testing a Storm for a few days (yuck) and couldn't use the switch device wizard when going back to my beloved Bold. Had to re-add all my contacts in manually. Not much help, I know, sorry!

I had that happen once, the best way to avoid that happening, back up all your contacts into exchange or address book (for mac users) every so often. Then if you switch phones or lose your phone, you still have all your contacts. I figure almost every smartphone has a way to pull contacts out of exchange or address book so no matter what phone you move to, you can at least have your contacts without worrying about importing from SIM.

I moved from my iphone 3G to a bold and it was nice because I had my address book all saved and nice, and when I plugged in my Bold and did an address book transfer, it even transferred the pics I had for my contacts even though those pics weren't even on my Bold. I was pleasantly surprised by that.
