Have any of my fellow Bold owner used these 2 apps from Pete6 ?

I still run .167 and have had no problems. I don't see a lot of preloaded stuff on my phone to get rid of. I deleted the sample videos and such and actually I don't see anything else besides some useless small things in the app folder like task, etc that I will not use.
Don't see a use for crackutil either.
Someone give me some good reasons to use these. To me, the more I mess with a software program the worse it gets, not because I am an ***** but the programs just seem to work slower and worse when I change things in them. - 01-15-2009, 12:41 PM #2
You probably don't need CrackUtil. CrackMem, on the other hand is priceless for an OS update. There are many things you can remove from the device you don't normally see like DOD certificates, support for the hearing impaired etc. And the UI just make the whole process much easier for novice users. I use it every update.

If you are happy with the phone, I am in full agreement on not changing just to change. I did upgrade to .185 and I'm glad I did. Right now I'm very satisfied with the phone and how it's running, so no need for me to go further. I will say that reading through the threads that a lot of people swear by Crackmem.

ive had the phone for 11 days now, upgraded os to .247, unbranded using a different vsm, and, worst of all, i have broken the warranty seal because i blacked the bold out...
