Default Has anyone gone from .162 to AT&T's .167 and noticed any problems?

Has anyone done this upgrade yet from .162?
I'm afraid of it since my Bold more-or-less works the way I want it to.
But there ARE a few bugs I'm trying to squash...

I never had .162 so I can't speak on that, the guy I bought my Bold from brand new loaded OS .167 onto it for me before he sent it - and so far, in over 2 weeks, I've only had 1 freeze up, and that's pretty darn good to me.

I upgraded to the leaked .167 but then downgraded back to .162 because of the memory leak issues I was having with .167. I am now downloading the official .167 from ATT and am going to try upgrading it later today.

If anyone else upgrades to the official .167 and has any early results please post them... THANKS!

Business as usual for me on .167... upgraded this morning from .162. There was some unusual slowness after the upgrade, but after about 30 min, it all cleared up and seems to be running as well as .162 did.

Haven't given much thought to it today... which is a good sign. The OS is doing what it's supposed to.

I upgraded to the official .167 from AT&T....The first difference is there's lesser free memory. .167 has 42 mb while .162 had 55 -57 mb....Otherwise no other significant difference....

Been using .167 since last night and so far I notice the following:
    Better Battery Life
Better 3g Voice Quality (I am in NYC - dropped 2 out of every 5 calls...and now its 0 thus far today).
    Better Wi-Fi connectivity
    Over all faster performance.
Images load faster from MicroSd Card (40% faster then .162).
    Thats it thus far.
Each Application, once deployed, is Obsolete!
    Bold and now Javelin.

I found after going from .162 to .167 the phone will chose a strong EDGE signal to a weaker 3G signal. I live in an area where there are dramatic differences in signal strength. Phone quality is fine , data downloads are variable. I'm staying with .167 for now.

AT&T's .167 is the best of the builds. Especially considering their problems, they have put forth the best build thus far. Keep in mind that most problems with OS's are device specific. You may not have the same problem as the next person and vice versa. GL.

I upgraded from .162 to the leaked .167 and noticed faster processing, but more than a few device lock ups, which caused too many battery pulls. Wiped the device, then downgraded to .162 and all is well. Not going to upgrade unless people say 'omygod this is an incredibly great change from.162' as I really didn't enjoy the whole downgrade experience (although I appreciate the beaucoup help I got here with it.)

You should go through the keyboard test and see if that volume up button is actually working... (hxxp://crackberry.com/new-self-diagnostic-tool-your-blackberry)

If the test says it isn't receiving any response... software's not going to fix broken hardware...

    Hi all,
I'm new here and posting in here as we have 2 Bold's that seemed to have the funny reset problems. 1 was fixed after it was upgraded to .162 but the other one still resets itself even after the upgrade, albeit less frequently.

So has anyone had their problems fixed with .167?

    Thanks.

There is less application memory compared to 162. And also, browsing images is slower, but I may bear with the slow image loading until a new version comes out because 162 was awesome, but once in awhile it would drop calls before it even connected.
I think I might be the only one that misses the trackball.

agree with infomax.. slower response especially when rebooting. .162 was way faster.. yeah, what happened to the IM folder?... on positive side, loads up things from my memory card a lot faster, and browser seems to load a lot quicker too.

A little of topic, however, I had some issues with the leaked .167 in comparison to the official .162. Currently have .166 installed. Haven't really pushed the device yet, but so far so good. Interesting how the official .166 has a higher software platform code than .167. Anyone know anything about the reasoning for this?

Just find out that rogers is going to have a new OS, package number 4.6.0.309. Package number for .167 is 4.6.0.298. That means Rogers is going to have a newer OS. No idea about the release date.

i wouldnt assume .167 for att would work better than .162 on rogers ntwk

i think the att build is a little different, 3g reception is better for me with .162

Sorry, my mistake. That OS may not build for Bold. It is for a device call 0x8D001103. Bold is 0x84000E07
