Default Does Bold Stop Charging When Too Hot?

Does anyone know if the Bold stops charging the battery when it gets above certain temperature limits?

I'm trying to understand why running a particular application on my Bold (Mobile TV) drains the battery even when the mains charger is plugged in. The most plausible explanation is that it stops charging because it gets too hot, it does get pretty toasty.

Can anyone confirm -- or think of any alternative explanations?

If your device gets too hot, it will shut itself down. Living in Arizona has taught me that lesson. However, I have never heard of the device not charging because it is too hot.

It may be that Mobile TV actually uses battery faster than the Bold allows for a recharge. I know this is not unusual when talking and using a car charger.

Really? That's not great with a car charger but it's poor with mains current.

Takes a lot of juice to run that big, pretty screen.

I think it's the constant streaming in 3G that really kills it to be honest. I still can't believe the device can't take enough juice out of the mains flow to keep itself from using the battery.

It is more like it's not charging/taking mains current at all when it's streaming to the media player.

My BBB 9700 stops charging and shows the disconnect icon over battery when reaching 40°C
I live in a hot area.So I keep my BB in fridge when it gets hot and I needs to charge.
