Does anybody know how I can make my battery last longer?

Hey guys, I have a 9000 and my battery has to be charged 3-4 times a day. Is there anything I can modify or fix to get more life out of it? Thanks Mike. The brightness is all the way down and still nothinh has changed lol

You may need a new battery. The 9000 is not a new phone. Batteries last varying times depending on use.

If you are finding that your battery is performing less and less well then it may be time to invest in a new one.

There are two other things that drain batteries.
- Being in a poor signal area - especially with 3G - makes the phone try hard to find the network so it dialogs with the towers more often than if it were in a strong signal area.

- Applications, like FaceBook that constantly make network data downloads.

Crackberry store has some legit batteries for a decent price.

Try switching the phone's network to 2G only. That saves a considerable amount of battery compared to 3G usage.

Hey guys here's an update. I bought a new battery, turned the brightness down to 10 percent, using 2g only now, location is off. Its still acting the same. Anybody have any suggestions? Thanks Mike

Do you have apps such as Facebook or Twitter running in the background and updating frequently?

I stopped purchasing MS-1 batteries from Crackberry store when i found a 3rd party one with higher mah .

At least I'm able to last a day with that current 3rd party one . With the original MS-1 , it would be gone in half a day .
