Default disable internet through att

Hi, I was wondering if it was possible to set my Bold to only use the internet when I'm connected through WiFi?

Sounds like your trying to use data without a data plan or on a pay per use plan, which is what they don't want so they can get their money. If you turn off mobile network you'll notice that it disables wifi so you can't use it thanks to the service books they push out. They get calls all the time were people have huge bills because they didn't think using wifi would cost them but at&t still adds up kb's used saying its still connected to there network and using data and the wifi is just increasing its speed.

Hmm, I'm not sure what you base that statement on. I've turned off Mobile Network and Wi-Fi remains on and working.

If you select Hotspot Browser as the default browser it should only connect when WiFi is available. However you might still be routed through AT&T servers even if it uses your home wifi as the link.

Thinking back to when my buddy had this problem I realized I worded my statement wrong. He never had a data plan so he never got the service books which is why he couldn't turn on wifi without mobile network being on which is why it went though at&t and he got charged.
