Dead Bold Battery/Memory FIX!!!

You absolute beauty!!!!! its on again! yeah i may've damaged the cmos battery attachments a little but it worked straight away allowing me to IMMEDIATELY perform an, ESSENTIAL, up-to-date back-up!! Now if i gotta get a new handset i still got ALL my data, even the very recently added stuff! SO THANX A MILLION TIMES OVER dude!!!!!

Did it but to no avail. CMOS batt strip is now loose so the battery keeps moving around. Have put temporary tape for now.

It seems my charger IC has conked off coz when I put my battery in, the red light glows for around 5 secs but when I plug it in to the charger (2 chargers) without the battery nothing happens.. no red light no response at all. Red light ONLY glows when the battery is in the phone otherwise nothing happens.

Will take it to the service centre soon.

I'm really confused as to what we are meant to do with the metal rectangle?
The IMEI sticker is located just above where the SIM goes and my battery (the small circle one) is located just to the right but theres no metal rectangle? There's just this black metallic sheet that goes over everything. I kinda need a more detailed explanation on how to do it if you don't mind?
I'm having the same problem as everyone else - It just randomly switched off last night. No led lights, no reaction when I plug it into the computer or wall charger. I don't want this to be dead. Need urgent help. PLEASE.

Just tried this method, was excited at the hope of it working, but it did not work for me.

After having pulled the small metal battery and reattaching it, I plug the phone into the charger (w/o) battery, and still get the red light pattern (1 blink followed by 3 faster blinks).

Someone suggested charging the small metal battery before putting it back in. Does anyone have experience with that working?
