Unhappy Can I run Messenger without BIS?
My Bold 9000 can't run Yahoo Messenger or MSN Messenger, whenever I try to log in, it says "Data service unavailable". I'm wondering if it's because that I don't have the Blackberry Internet Service. But the BlackBerry Messenger seems to work, and I can still chat on facebook. Can anyone help me? Thanks.

You need a BB specific data plan for apps that will not use WiFi.

You will need to ask your carrier if it costs "extra money".

There's no "alternative way".
