Can the Bold accept micro SDHC cards?

Have you tried formatting in the phone?

You'd be better off formatting it that way then hooking the phone up to the computer through USB and transferring the files over.

I have a 32GB card in my bold and works great, no problems at all, but be sure you have at least os 5, because os4.5 don't accept it.

I've tried that and it's still not working, I've become victim to an ebay scam I'm afraid.
