Default Can the Bold accept micro SDHC cards?

As listed in the title thread, I would like to know if anyone can confirm that the Bold can read micro SDHC cards. I want to buy a new memory card off of ebay, but I want to make sure it works before I make a purchase. Any help you can give me is greatly appreciated.

Thanks for replying, sunkast. How do you know for sure that it works? Have you (or someone you know) put an micro SDHC in the Bold? Don't mean to sound skeptical, but just want to make sure as I haven't been able to see it in the documentation.

what? all the other blackberries accept microsd so of course the bold does too.

check out the specs properly, the rogers bold says it can handle up to 32gb micro sdhc even though the market only has 8gb right now.

heres some proof. on rogers site click on technical specs:

Thanks for the responses. Sorry, first time Blackberry owner so I really am clueless about a lot of things. Heck, I didn't even know there was such a thing as the SDHC, but I had read somewhere that some devices that read SD can't read SDHC hence my concern. Thanks again.

The keyword is 'micro' - micro Secure Data High Capacity - which are distinct from SDHC without the micro. 'microSD' defines the card format and 'HC' is SalesHype so it may be omitted in casual usage.

Be careful with online searching, because many suppliers will tag pages with standard and micro cards the same, and it is easy to overlook the missing word until it arrives in the mail. A quick clue is usually the size - micro cards larger than 8GB are still research and prototype items.

So will the Bold handle a SDHC 8gb card? There is no documentation that the bold can do it. We all know you can put any micro sd card in a micro sd slot, but it may not work. My older digital camera can not handle a HC sd card even though the card fits.

Thank you.

You also have to make sure your computer is compatible with SDHC(high capacity). New computers can do it.

I just bought a 32gb micro sdhc card and I keep on getting error even after repairing and formatting. The files show up when I put the card into the adapter then into my computer but won't show on my phone. Anything I can do or do I need a new card?
