Thunder... no. CDMA carriers don't utilize WiFi/UMA

So far, the Thunder will be a Verizon/Vodafone lifetime exclusive device. That means no future in the T-mobile line-up, unless they don't meet the quotas that RIM will set forth to keep the exclusivity.

Thank you for the quick reply & for welcoming me to this site. Do you happen to know if the Bold - 9000 will be UMA capable using t-mobile? I'm an avid mac owner for well over 10 years but I DON'T WANT AN IPHONE!!! so please give me some good news. Thanks once again for any assistance.

There's the Javelin thats gonna come out with Tmo...that'll be UMA. The Bold does have wifi but it'll be a while before it comes out with Tmo.

Any anticipated release date for the Javelin? My boyfriend has been wanting a BB and I figure I'll give him my Curve when I get a shinny new Jav.

EDIT

Or if the Thunder has UMA I might buy an unlocked one from UK. ;-)

Count me as another Mac user who sold his iPhone. For me, a BlackBerry (currently have an 8320 w/UMA) and an iPod Touch covers all the functions nicely. Couldn't stand the dependency on a non-swappable battery in the iPhone. WiFi e-mail ports are blocked at work, and I get no cell signal within the building at work. So, the BlackBerry w/UMA covers phone and e-mail perfectly. If some version of the 9500 would ever appear as a T-Mo phone with UMA, I'd grab it in a heartbeat, and then, probably need only 1 device.
