Default Bold showed some hope for a time

When I got my bold the first day it released, I was excited. But within the year, the speakerphone and headphone jack stopped working forcing me to warranty the phone, where, inevitably, the new handset's speakerphone gave out within 6 months again.

Committed to the exorbitant price tag I suffered for the phone, I decided to adapt to the phone's shortcomings. Not having a speakerphone meant my phone was always in vibrate mode, I couldn't share music or videos with friends, and most importantly, I had no alarm clock - all problems which I had to adapt to with unique solutions.

However, through some miracle, just a couple months ago my bold's speakerphone showed signs of life by annoyingly setting off the alarm clock on the weekends, faintly playing snipits of songs out loud before I prepared to plug in my headphones, and allow me to enjoy hands free conversations on the road via speakerphone; but I stayed skeptical.

Unfortunately, my bold's lucid interval lasted only a month and the speakerphone has died again. Perhaps it was the bold's last effort to prove itself since i've openly been talking about switching phones and platform through it. I want to know if anyone else has had this problem and if they've figured out a way to fix it so that I may be able to perform the same fix before the fateful day I retire the bold to its utility drawer grave.
