Agree. I looked at iPhone 1 and iPhone 2, and just could not get past the lack of a keyboard. Additionally, there are so many more steps to accomplish basic tasks on an iPhone that require you to stare at the screen. One handed operation of an iPhone... not good. No replaceable battery, sucky battery life, no voice dialing, no MMS without a workaround, no video recording, substandard GPS... OK, I don't do much MMS or video recording (actually, never done either), but I can use my Blackberry without looking at it for almost every task and after more than a year of Blackberry use (Curve, 8800, and now BOLD), I am still finding amazing shortcuts and smart features on every Blackberry.

The iPhone just seems to be an effeminate device that probably encourages car accidents.

OK, maybe that last is a little extreme.

I have an iPhone right now. I want the Bold really, really bad. Seriously, I'm trying to find anyone to buy my unlocked iPhone for $300, just so I can buy the Bold. I'm generally satisfied with my experience with my iPhone, but the keyboard just ruins it all. Having my friend get a Bold and playing with them at the store hasn't been easy on me. I'm working as hard as I can to get rid of my iPhone so I can have the beloved Blackberry Bold.

Get the Bold!

I was a loyal BB user for years and mad the Curve as my last before the bight shinny iphone lured me away. A family member had gotten the first gen iphone and I played with it a few times and it was pretty cool. I did think the phone sound quality was a bit subpar but that may just be me. When the iphone 3G came out I just had to have it. I was worried about the typing with out keys but besides that I was really excited to have it. Here is what I think of the iphone and this is just how I see it. The iphone 3G is a really cool fun toy that plays lots of games and apps you can get for free or very cheap. The internet speed was amazing and YouTube loaded so fast. The sound was not as good as I had hopped for both calls and listing to music and videos. Typing was really hard but after a few month s it got better, but never really easy. I loved the games and apps and have several I used every day. The problem was the phone part, it was just terrible and I constantly dropped calls. I thought the software update would help and it did slightly but not enough to keep all my friends and family from calling my home phone instead of my iphone in fear of me loosing them over and over. I finally said enough was enough when I dropped 5 calls in a row. I am so very happy to be back with the BB family and although I was a trader I hope to regain my status as a long time BB user and supporter. I love the keyboard, the way it sleeps when you put it in the case and just most of the functions of the phone. I will say the internet seemed much faster on the iphone and I will miss that but I still am much happier with my BB Bold.

By the way i sold my iphone 3G on eBay for more than I paid for in in less than 5 minutes, I did not get the cheap upgrade price so I was happy and it more than covered the cost of my new Bold.

Thanks,
James

I guess more information will be giving the closer we come to the official release date.
With the Bold, it is pretty cheap and easy to grab an 8GB microSD card for $18(shipped). Always something to factor in.

Just "traded" in my iphone yesterday for a BB bold. Why? Because I almost shot myself trying to reply to a client's email on my Iphone. Don't get me wrong, it's a GREAT device as far as browsing, music, and photos, but I need to do BUSINESS. I am constantly receiving emails all day from 5 different accounts. The Iphone's virtual keyboard just doesn't cut it and YES I have tried, like really tried to use it for a good 4 months.

I may be wrong but I think it only works with the iPhone or iTouch and iPod and the PC and Mac. I have an iPhone 1st gen and used Mobile Me when it came out and it did not work well at all. Maybe they have gotten the bugs worked out by now but I did not like it. I now have the Bold and so glad to get rid of the iPhone and use it for pics and as an iPod.
