We have our demos out for display with a sku number and the contract price. 3 years on Rogers will be $199.99 to compete with the iphone. However I don't believe we have a set non contract price. its going to be anywhere between $549.99 - $699.99.

The Aug 19th date seems to be legit though I can't confirm 100%, our system shows them on order for the store but not a date. When other products are shown on order, they are usual shipped by the following week.

Lets keep our fingers crossed Rogers doesn't screw us and change everything. I have a close friend of my father who works for RIM and she said that in fact the Bold's have been ready to go since the beginning of July. It was in fact Rogers who couldn't get their act together with pricing and dates.... but what else is new! Typical Rogers antics.

Will you be able to ship them to the US??

Hmm... well compared to the photo below of a flyer Rogers stores have received (originally posted by someon on hofo), it looks like it's firm at $399...

I was told 399 on a three year term back in June when the BOLD was first supposed to come out. 399 seems much more realistic than 199 and about competing with the iPhone please feel free to correct me if I am wrong but the BOLD is far out of the iPhone's league.

On the bright side, I am not one who likes having the same phone everyone else has, so you know what? I am cool with the 399, so cool that I will even take two!

$550-$650 no contract? sheet! I hope thats CND! even so thats only like 50$ less.

Guess I better get selling my curve quick before the price drops. Anyone have a crappy pearl or 8800 they're looking to let go of?

Thats the whole reason it has been delayed though. Due to pricing issues, they wanted to keep it competitive with the Iphone.

Just got word from my good friend working for Rogers, they just got their Bold display packages in today, along with dummy phones and all the goodies.

If the above picture is indeed correct, I am surprised that they are asking virtually twice as much for the Bold as for the Curve.

We all know the Bold is good, but that will surely deter quite a few prospective customers.

I'll stick with my Curve for a long time. I MAY, when my 2 years are up, upgrade to the Javelin. I think that's what Verizon will have. As long as it's not touch screen, I'm all for it. No touch screens for me.

Well the strings attached weren't exactly that... just official highway robbery on the price. I wonder if it's really worth that .

Canada is beautiful, but we are far behind when it comes to allowing the population to be treated fairly with technology.

The government doesn't give a rats a** about the monopoly and the unfair price gouging.

... at least **** Turpin wore a mask!

Edit: Just realised it won't let me display his first name, which is an abreviation for Richard... and in case anyone hasn't heard of him, he is a legendary highwayman!
