I see you were talking about OS upgrades. Which OS did you install? Did it include full Chinese support?

Second point, there seems to be a bug in the media player and it can't display multi-byte (non-european) characters properly.

(2) Close BlackBerry Desktop Manager. Install the OS on PC by double click the executable: 9000EastAsia_PBr4.6.0_rel243_PL4.0.0.135_A4.6.0.12 6_PCCW.exe

Choose English (this is the language for installation).

Click OK.
Follow the instruction and use all default settings to install the OS files on PC.

(3) Go to PC folder: C:\Program Files\Common Files\Research In Motion\AppLoader
Delete file: Vendor.xml

(4) Start BlackBerry Desktop Manager.

Choose “Application Loader”

Click the Start button under “Add/Remove Applications”

In East Asian Language and input Support section, select
Chinese Pinyin input Method
Click Next to install the OS.
Wait until the Blackberry is fully rebooted. This make takes a while. Don’t do anything during this period of time. No manual reboot is necessary.

(5) Once the new OS is installed and rebooted. You can go to Blackberry application list and select “Options”-> Language. Click Language, you will see choice of “English (united States)” “中文(简体) (Simplified)”. This is to select the interface language. In the “Input Language”, you will have the similar choices. When composing email etc. just press “alt-enter” will switch between pinyin and English.

(6) I was activated BES. After the OS refresh, the BES is no longer activated. To re-activate, I have to sync BlackBerry with Outlook on the PC that is connected to corporate intranet (via VPN).
hello i ve a problem!!! i couldnt find "East Asian Language &Input Section" under "Add/Remove App" at all>< xxx

Angry

I have the OS6 and I don't have the language supported on it either. That's pretty sad that as smart as these phones are supposed to be they can be a little retarded at times
