    Default Bold 9000 Kicking!

I got a used 9000 on ebay and at first it was a nightmare. It came with an IT policy/password on it and would lock itself everytime it idled. After much research and trial and error, I removed the IT policy/password and proceeded to install JSL9000 V. 8.0 (hybrid OS). The phone ran ok but somewhat sluggish, but after a few hours of the OS settling in and some battery pulls, this phone is kicking @ss! I swear its faster in a lot of ways than my 9900 with this hybrid. Sure, it has a lower rez screen and is overall lower tech than the 9900,but it has a leather back, awesome speakers and call quality that beat the 9900 or any other Berry. With this hybrid, I can do everything I need on this phone and do it well. If you still have a 9000 and haven't bought a 9900 you may very well be able to tolerate your 9000 until BB10 and skip the 9900. And if you do have the 9900 but have an old 9000 lying around, it can be a fun nostalgic retro phone to revisit and also be amazed at how well it compares to the 9900 in terms of being able to do nearly all the same things just as well.

The hybrid is available at jslenterprises.net. I would also suggest downloading an OS7 theme to make it look like the 9900. Those can be found here at crackberry in the theme section.
