Bold 9000 or the Curve 8900? Which is best for me?
Ok,
I am going to get my 1st blackberry next week (thurs/fri) I am stuck, do I get the bold 9000 or the curve 8900, these are my only choices.
I live in a pretty good 3G area... I can't decide which is the best phone and can't find a unbiased OR a clear winner review anywhere..
I want to browse the net , e mail on the go.. Wi fi access, oh just the best of the 2 which I don't know YET!Last edited by diablodood; 08-09-2009 at 06:55 AM.

Two things stand out as far as capabilities. The Bold can surf the internet while on the phone and the 8900 can not. The 8900 has a bunch more app memory so you can load all the apps you want. The 8900 also has a better camera.
Other than that it really boils down to personal preference. Size keyboard feel and so on... Best bet is to go in store and try one out....and use your 14 exchange period if you don't like one and try the other.

If 3g is important take the bold, if not then the 8900.

of course I'm going to say bold since i am a bold abuser and love "the fallen" (yes i named my phone)
However i've heard many great things about thhe 8900 and again it comes down to personal preference. For me, 3g makes all the difference, however it could be very different to you.
I would say go to a dealer play with both phones. See which one feels better for you as far as feel, typing, and search.
And a early Congratz on popping your BB Cherry,
Hope it was as good for you, as it was for me - 08-09-2009, 09:38 AM #6

The Bold has 3G, soft keys, and a faster processor and now with archiving apps most Bold users can stay around 50MB, 256MB on the 8900 is certainly nice though... But if you live in a good 3G area get the Bold for sure...

Doesn't matter they do the same thing.... same OS, only marginal hardware differences in this case 3G. It's like deciding if you want a 14 inch laptop or a 15 inch laptop. The are difference in size and probably some hardware differences but at the end of the day if they're both running Vista it's up to you to decide which package you want. The stuff inside the package is basically the same. Now if you were comparing a Curve 83xx then it would be a different story.
But if I had to choose.... Bold. If the 8900 had 3G then I would go with that because typing on it is much better.Last edited by scorpiodsu; 08-13-2009 at 10:16 AM.
Who cares which device is better? Isn't all that matters is that it's the best one for you? - 08-13-2009, 10:23 AM

Ok, I have the same question as diablodood. I'm trying to decide between the bold and 8900 but I'm with tmobile so you can eliminate the 3g part of the argument. I have big thumbs so leaning towards the bold. But what do you guys/gals think? What would you go with out of the two?

Big man.... Your best bet is to hit an ATT store and try both of them out to see which on YOU like better

I have big thumbs too, keypad is excellent , camera wise I spent a fortune on a high end digital camera, don't need a superb camera, just one that does the job

It's all down to what you want/need
