Bold 9000 Battery vs Bold 9700 Battery

Hello! I recently broke my Bold 9700 and I am trying to use my dad's old Bold 9000. Only problem is the battery on the 9000 is completely drained. Is it possible for me to take the battery out of the 9700 and put it in the 9000? Would it be compatible? Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks!!

Can also confirm yes it is the same battery. I have done this before with no problem.
