There have been several of these topics already so you could read users opinions in them:
An example: http://forums.crackberry.com/f83/wor...9700-a-425822/
You could also check some of the topics comparing the differences to help you decide:

For me it's not because I would have to replace a lot of accessories and buy parts to mod a second device.

If I did not have a 9000 and was looking to buy a Bold today, I would go with the 9700. Vastly better app memory, better camera, and designed for 5.0. (And even if I were accustomed to the larger 9000 keyboard, which I wouldn't be because I wouldn't have a 9000 in my hypothetical here, I'm quite sure I would get used to the slightly smaller one on the 9700.)
But I do have a 9000 and I'm not eligible for an upgrade until July. But even then I will still probably hold onto the 9000 for a little while more because of the drumbeat about the Dakota being introduced later this year. I imagine that at the WES in late April we'll know something more definite about whether the Dakota actually will be coming out this year.
So I would wait a couple of months if I were you.BB 950,BB 6280,BB 7290,BB 8800,BB 9000,BB 9800,BB 9810, Samsung Galaxy Note II (yes, mine is bigger than yours)

There's no reason to pitch out a 9000 just to get a 9700, but if you have a Pearl or a Curve, then moving on to the 9700 is a good idea.

Well to be honest I would upgrade to the 9700 if given the chance. Even though I love how my bold looks and feels compared to the 9700, I've been getting tired of concerning myself with the low memory and that would probably be my only reason other than that I can't find any other reason. Either way I don't think you'd regret whatever decision you make. Good luck

Like Tronyx showed you in his post read thru the almost daily threads on this topic. It has become boring to even come in the 9000 forum because that is all there is to read. Go and play with the 9700 and decide for yourself.

A mate of mine got the 9700 a month after I got my 9000 as I'd told hime how good the 9000 was. Its my first Blackberry and I love it, but had the 9700 been out when I got mine I would have gone for it. This is because, and my mate with his 9700 agrees, the 9000 has better looks than the 9700, but the superior APP memory and camera makes going for the 9700 a no brainer, but hey I love my 9000, but the memory thing is a real pain

my bold died on me recently.very sad.i hate being berryless.i liked keeping up with my daily news articles on mine. therefore i had to decide what my next one was going to be. it was going to either be the 9700 or the white 9000. after long time thinking, im getting the 9700 soon. my 9000 was more than i could have asked for. ****, if i didn't crash i would still have it on the palm of my hand. its an elegant/exquisite device to be carrying around.

I have both the 9000 and the 9700. I prefer the 9700 its faster. More apps. It feels nice told hold. I like the smaller keyboard, being a woman the 9700 suits me, to me the 9000 was big and bulky and felt like a mans phone.

I prefer the 9700 for trackpad, double the memory, twice the battery life, and 3.2 mp camera

i'd go with the 9700 for the simple reason you have double the ram to store apps. app management on the 9000 was a serious PITA
