    Default blackberry trackball

K so I've changed my trackball to the 8900 one on my bold,

Now what's weird is that it will be working perfectly fine then all of a sudden become really stiff and won't scroll.
Then maybe 5 minutes later it'll be working great.

I know its not debris because itd be workin fine one second, then it won't the next
then out of nowhere work fine again.

Anyone having this problem? Or know what's going on? Its really irritating.

It just may be a bad trackball. I had that happen when I put a brand new G1 trackball in. Ended up just being a bad trackball.

To be honest, I have gone back to the OEM white that came with the device. It just scrolls much smoother than the G1 or 8900 trackball

I'd do it no problem if it wasn't for the white one known to get dirty.
Besides my bold is blacked out ugh

I dont worry about the TB looking dirty. The most important thing is it works properly. You could always order another one.

I guess so. I think it may be the little metal housing clasp.

Can I purchase one from somewhere? Never seen those for sale.

I've seen the metal housing clasp for sale on eBay. You can buy the clasp with or without a trackball. Just look up Bold trackballs and you should see it
Bought from: eakeller, devo6786, meCka, garz

    Sold to: joelwag, bc214i

    Traded with: davistld01

It's the wee ball you probably have your thumb on.

I absolutely loathe the trackball. If there isn't debris making movement difficult, then the trackball is dirty... Plus, the only way to switch out an old for a new is to dismantle the entire phone.

    Sorry for the rant.
