Welcome to Crackberry 'dpaipet', and yes, as you say the Bold is indeed a great smartphone, but it will eventually be replaced with something even better!

Trust me, that is always the case and personally I would save your money for later, rather than buy another Bold now... you can only use one at a time anyway!

Oh, one small point, it makes your posts much easier to read if you turn your 'caps lock' off... otherwise it looks as if you are shouting, which is not good!

Been using a 9000 for 4 and a half months now and I have had 0 problem with it. Well it did restart on me once one day in December but other than that, it runs fine. I don't even have the balls to upgrade the firmware to 247 for fear of messing something up hahaha

I'm still on .210 btw.

EDIT: Did the upgrade - can't comment much just yet.

Well, I finally made my switch to the Bold as of yesterday. It was easy to get used to, since I originally owned a Curve, but this phone is much more exciting in all aspects. The looks, the feel, and especially the coverage!

I was on Sprint, and I couldnt get reception for donkey bawls in my apartment! for over 5 years! NO RECEPTION! I had to keep holding my phone to a nearby window > Enough was enough, and I bought the Bold and went to AT&T.

In any case, the phone has many features that the curve doesn't. It's fast, sleek and makes my day more productive as I email work files to my co-workers, etc.

Radioshack has the Bold for a limited time for $250 with a new contract. So if you are looking for one, now is the time before they decide to stop selling them there. BestBuy is $279. Save the money, if you feel the need.

I am a happy BlackBerry owner, of a Bold.

A little known policy that Best Buy has is that they will beat any competitor's advertised price. Simply show them the published add and they will knock their pice down up to 10% off.

I know because I used to manage one.

Default With all the pizzazz, where's the ram?

Your review was great. I even went to two different AT&T stores to look at the product and talk to the clerks. The phone is much faster than my storm, and does have a great feel when holding. I was sure tempted to pay another early term fee (left Iphone) to snag this one up. And yes, there is a but to this......Why does RIM come out with a product for one carrier only to change it up a bit and then release the new model to a different carrier? I'm all for faster processing, better screen displays...and certainly love bluetooth, wifi, and GPS. With all this in one phone, why wouldn't they increase the RAM? I'm noticing the apps for blackberry's are getting larger, but with RAM under 128 on most devices, one is really limited to what apps they can run. I've stripped my storm to the bones to run Facebook, Ubertwitter, CNN, Google Maps, Poynt, Todo Matrix, RexConnect, and Zona Snap. Thats about all my phone will manage comfortably, and I have 128 of RAM. Love all the new touches, but i'm holding out for one that actually will allow for me to put some apps on it, and have the bt/wifi/gps.

Brian
