Dave; Imagine the phone call!

"Hi, I understand you have something that not many people in the world have, that won't be available for months and you are blogging about and making money from. Can we have it back?"

OMG!!! What a break! I can't wait to read all about it. If you get bored with it, let me know. I would love to give a proper home.

Heh, I think he knows he's sitting on a gold mine here. I hope he responds with a, "And what are you prepared to offer?". The business damage his report may create could be significant enough for them to pay him off multiple times what he paid for the thing.

if litigation is brought against this 9000...i'll represent pro bono baby.

more than likely, even IF anything remotely close happens in regards to the scenario some of you guys have brought up...seizure on the grounds of intellectual/patent property infringement...could be the reason.

basically, all that would have to be done is give the phone back to RIM.

As someone who deletes everything that isn't absolutely necessary on the BB to free up memory, I'm curious as to what the device memory is and how much memory you have free after a reboot without any additional apps installed.

You definitely went G-14 Classified on us. That was too cool. Your Spidy sense must have been tingling when that thing hit Ebay.

actually, i renig my earlier comment in this thread...because originally kevin posted the blog post here on crackberry about the sighting of the 3 units of the BlackBerry 9000 on ebay...he could have just been straightforward and said he was the one that purchased the one unit that was sold.

and for those that argue that this purchase of the 9000; and the public posting of the result(s) of the purchase will 'hurt' RIM in anyway...i'm not so sure about that. I'm sure CrackBerry as a site; all the information contained in it and what not...actually helps boost and promote RIM and its products.
