Default Blackberry Bold 9000 - Not Working Please Help

    Hi

Iv just tryed to turn my Blackberry Bold 9000, which hasnt been used in about a month and the battery was dead, for some reason when i go to charge it, nothing happens only a red light at the top and sometimes the charge symbol comes on , i left it charge for like 8 hours , took the battery out to no provail, so now i thought maybe the OS was screwed so i tryed to upload a new one following the directions of "BlackBerry 101: How to Reload the Operating System on a Nuked BlackBerry" but when i get to Wait for device initilization it, the usb goes crazy again and disconects on and off and at the end comes up with this "Unable to reconnect to the device during a multi-stage load operation". any one got some suggestions

    Thanks

Sounds like the battery has run it's course and time for a new one if it will not take a charge. Remember you need a good battery to upgrade as the phone needs to restart using the battery.

See if you can find a friend (or going to your carrier) and testing out a charged battery.

If the phone worked before then it will still work with a loaded OS.

    1) Go to a store that sells the battery and do a switch. If a new battery does not work go to (2)
    2) Do a charge with another way: there are two ways- using the USB and also the AC charger. If this does not work go to (3)
    3) After the battery is fully charged, take it out of the phone for a full 24 hours. Re-install the battery. The phone should re-set and start up. This will often correct your problem.

After (3) corrects the problem you might have to reload the OS; there is no way to determine if the past re-load partly failed.
