Best Build For An Upgrade
Hey Everyone,
Quick question - I'd make a poll but I think there are too many options...
I'm still running 4.6.0.167 that came with my Bold that I bought in November. I was considering 5.0.0.100 but I need google sync for my calender and don't really want to deal with a lot of bugs. My battery is a bit iffy on 167, so if a newer build will alleviate that it would be great.
Otherwise I have very few problems, maybe one reset a week or a forced alt, shift, delete reset. What would you guys recommenced moving to, I can always go back to current with my backup file I suppose too.
Thanks,

I liked 185 and currently have no issues at all with 247.

Real post....
ive had the phone for 11 days now, upgraded os to .247, unbranded using a different vsm, and, worst of all, i have broken the warranty seal because i blacked the bold out... - 06-16-2009, 06:00 PM #6
.247 has been great for me and my apps. I read about some .266 glitch when rew/ff through media files (podcasts?) and 5.0's not ready for primetime (or maybe primetime's not ready for it), so I'm happy to stick with the most stable/strong OS I've used so far.

i'm on .266 - i only had that "ff/rw during movie file" thing happen like 2 or 3 times the same day i installed .266...
since the second day, however, it runs absolutely flawlessly, and i came from stock .162...
slightly better mem management, slightly better batt life, way faster while browsing media files from mem card, and faster in menus throughout.
cheers, good luck! -

Thought this might help you with that...
You can find .266 (the OS that a lot of us recommend) HERE. You can also view the other available OSes for the Bold HERE.
Follow these two guides:

You will need CrackMem, which you can get HERE. The instructions for CrackMem can be found HERE.
Take your time and follow the instructions carefully.
