    Default Audiobook Solution for Bold...Sorta

I have been looking quite a while for an audiobook solution for my bold. The native Bold media player can play my .mp3's, of course, but there is no bookmark solution. That truly sucks.

I have finally found the dollar5 media player. I have no affiliation, just want to share what I found.

    Dollars 5 Complete

While they say that only support the 8800, 8300 and 8100, they have a free one week trial, so I figured, what the heck.

I downloaded only their media player, as I don't need the features of the full on app. It installed okay and booted. The screen is sized for the curve resolution, but it still runs. It plays my audiobooks and there is a bookmark feature, albeit MUCH more difficult to use than it should be.

As far as I can tell, every time you open a file, you have to open the menu and select the Auto Bookmark item. This is an INCREDIBLE PITA, but it does work as long as you remember to use it. Of course, you will have to clean our your bookmarks after a while, but it is better than nothing.

I have not done any exhaustive testing, but so far it looks okay.

    YMMV,

I have a bold, and I downloaded the Dollar5 media player to play audio books as someone suggested. It works great to play, but I still can't find the option to do the bookmarking that was also mentioned.. Help?
