Audio recording of a voice conversation
I've thought about this before but recently it became something that might be very valuable to me. It is recording the conversation digitally to my Bold while in a conversation. Is this possible? Is there a second party app available to do so? These smartphones can do everything else, why not this?? Any input would be helpful. Thanks

It may not exist for the BlackBerries but it does exist.
I was on a call recently trying to make arrangements for a client needing a last minute piano rental and delivery to one of the award show venues. The rental company's owner was on his cell phone and asked me to wait a moment so he could engage his recording feature. Once he did I was able to simply speak in normal conversational speed all the equipment and venue details, as well as the address and phone contacts for the stage managers, etc. There was no way he could have been writing it down that rapidly.
I have no idea what the application was, but it was very helpful. - 01-07-2009, 01:53 AM #4
I could do this with my Samsung A920. It was very handy.

Hi all,
There were quite a few programs that did this for S60 some without the annoying beep every minute as well. Although as mentioned i haven't seen anything like this for the BB.

Interestingly, my last two LG dumbphones would record both sides of a phone conversation easily and without letting the other person know he was being recorded
Blackberry Tour 9630, Irtehun 50v7.12: faster, more stable, more memory; trying this one with the .191 radio.
BlackBerry Curve 8330, 4.5.0.138. Why no hybrids for this one? Because it's just an understudy, just waiting on a shelf in case my Tour meets an untimely death. - 01-07-2009, 09:16 AM #12

Check this out. Looks promising for a lot of applications.

I wonder that maybe you could use the audio recording feature and record the call, IF you had the person on speakerphone. I'm pretty sure it can be done that way...

http://forums.crackberry.com/f35/doe...24/index3.htmlYou can measure distance by time. "How far away is it?" "Oh about 20 minutes." But it doesn't work the other way. "When do you get off work?" "Around 3 miles." - 01-07-2009, 10:53 AM #16

I have one on my Treo 680. The program is called "CallRec", it records both sides of the conversation. And it also doubles as a regular voice recorder.

I was able to do it on my sony ericsson phones. Only problem was that on one of the phones it would beep every 10 seconds when you recorded so that the caller knew you were being recorded. On my other SE phone there was no beep when you recorded. It would be a nice feature to have since blackberry's are "business" phones.
