    Default Application memory getting low.

Please...! can someone help me! Because I'm getting pretty frustrated with this.

On my Blackberry Bold 9000 I have 3 types of memory.. Application Memory, Device Memory and Media Card Memory. Application memory is about 15mb and device memory and media card are both 1Gb each. So what exactly uses the application memory? I assume its like a computers RAM..? So why when it gets low, does it not just make my device run slower or when I go to open another program just say "not enough memory to run program, please free up some application memory to continue" or something like that. Instead it deletes all my SMS or MMS messages from my inbox (That are not saved) that I assume are stored somewhere in the 1 gig device memory Not in the Application Memory.

My Berry's instructions say it can hold up to 85,000 sms messages before it starts to delete the oldest ones, with my berry I'll be lucky if I can store about 250 messages till my application drops to about 4.3Mb then I'll find I've only got about 82 messages left in my inbox and my application memory is still only got 4.3Mbs after my messages get deleted. Is there a way I can stop this? Or can I set my sms, mms, emails etc to save on my media card?

    cheers

    Danny.

Your messages are not the issue, another app is eating your available memory and the phone is deleting messages as a response. How do you close your apps? What third party apps have you added? Themes?

Have you done a battery pull lately? If not, do one or hit alt+shift+del. Also, clear your browser cache. Then if you are still having problems a regular battery pull can't resolve, consider upgrading your OS.
