Application Memory
Is there an app out there now to allow you transfer some device or mem card memory over to you application memory? I truly love my 9000 but it's getting to a point that the only reason why i'd get rid of it is because of the app memory! I have so much space on my device and card memory so it's a waste to not put it to use! Yes, yes, i deleted applications, installed the right OS (.771 works best for me) and always do clean ups. Anyone know a solution?

Other than shrinking your OS I don't see any way to increase the application memory on your device. How much app space do you need?

Enough to keep applications running! Once it reaches sub 5mb it starts to lag when running apps or just using the browser.

If you shrink the OS you should be able to free up more than enough to run the apps on the phone.

After a fresh Shrink-A-OS loading of .771, I had about 40+ megs free. Even with a dozen or more apps, I'm still usually around 20 megs free

on a similar note, I have a memory problem, wonder if anyone can help.
I reboot the phone and I have just under 20mb free (I am planning on shrinking the OS) but after an hour it can be down to under a mb some times, it has always had this memory dump problem (or whatever it is) but, since I have upgraded the OS, as mentioned previously it sometimes takes an hour or less to get down to under a mb, and quite honestly its making me think about getting rid of the phone. - 10-29-2010, 06:58 PM #9
The only thing I can say is try to find the application that is causing such a dramtic memory loss, delete and then reinstall. Or delete the application for good. I have noticed a memory leak with my device. I start with about 30MB, but then I dip to about 15 MB over a few days. But it goes up also, so there are times when it will go back up to 20MB. As long as the phone runs the way its supposed to, I don't worry about it. It has never rebooted on me or crashed. Fingers crossed.
