activating BBmessenger
I had a few problems on my bold a few days ago with the BBM not confirming contacts that had been added. so i deleted BBM and reloaded it. ever since i can't get it to work and in the SETUP folder there is no option to setup email.
Do i have to activate my BBM somehow, if so how do i go about doing it?
I have loaded gmail and it works fine. just BBM is no go
Thanks in advance,

See whether resending the service books / battery pull helps ...

Battery pull - Take the battery off while the device is switched ON and put it back again after 30 seconds.
Service books - Log on to your website and resend the service books or you could go to Menu - Options - Advanced Options - Host Routing Table - Menu - REGISTER NOW.

Try resending the service books from your BIS website. If nothing works, you could try reloading the OS.

Yup. Reload(OS) and don't delete things you want to keep.
The BBM problem is well known, it seems to be linked to overloading on the servers (worst when there's a new release and a flood of new phones) and is most often reported between users on different carriers (which tends to point at the RIM hub servers as the prime suspect). - 02-26-2009, 09:23 PM #8
ok might be a dumb question for me to ask
when u said gmail...do you mean gmail app? (the gmail icon) or do you mean
gmail on BIS? as in your gmail comes into the device straight?
more importantly, just to check that you have not just a data plan but it is BIS as well?"They may take our lives, but they can never take OUR CRACKBERRY!" - 04-23-2012, 11:54 AM #9
