Will Removal of VAD interfere with Google Maps Voice Search?

I have downloaded MaxMem 0.3 (mobile.blackberrytrade.com/apps.php) which gives me the option to free up memory on my Pearl. One way I can free memory is by allowing it to remove the VAD (Voice Activated Dialing).

I am wondering if removing this would interfere with any other services like Google Map's Voice Search? I am guessing it wouldn't but i was hoping someone else would have more knowledge on the subject.

Im going to take a guess and say no...i got rid of VAD before and the voice search on MS Live search still worked. But, that was on a beta 4.5 OS, so I dont know definitively.
