Good find, hard to believe the old one didn't have 'push' messages though!

Whatsapp always has a module running in the background (not app switcher) listening to new messages/notifications even if the application is not actively running, through which the server pushes the notifications. It did before, and it does now, so i dont know which new "push messages" he is referring to, he probably saw that on a website but it probably applies to iphone users, however, iphone users have had push notifications in whatsapp for quite a while now.

It probably means an "updated" push service. Otherwise, explain ;D

I will try it out. What I liked about the Whatsapp on the iPhone was one was able to copy/paste status info and then translate using any translate application but on the Android system and Blackberry one was unable to do so. This is good if you are an expat in a foreign country and can not read or write the local language so this allows you to be able to translate the Status of another person. Say for example someone wrote "I am depressed" in Japanese or Korean on their Whatsapp Status one would not know unless they could read or write the local language or could copy/paste that status to be translated say via Google Translate.

Does anyone know if Audio files sent to both Android phones and to iPhones work? I found that all audio notes sent from iPhones will play on the Blackberry and on the Android based system but the audio clips sent from the Android systems will not play on the iPhones. Are audio clips that you record to send being received on both iPhones and Android phones?

i've upgraded my ver. to the latest .2115 and whenever i try to send a photo, it pops a message prompting me that whatsapp is requesting a NFC connection and then the phone hangs there. anyone else facing the same problem?

i'm on 9900.

Out of curiosity, is the person you are sending the picture to on a Blackberry device as well? Try sending a picture to someone with an iPhone device, an Android device and a person with a Blackberry Device. Do you get the problem on all 3?

I've had this happen practically every other reboot. What fixes it, you ask? Why, that would be the reboots in between every other reboot
