tether usage app?

hey all, im a little new to this smartphone craze so bear with me here.

i got a torch 9810 a few months ago and i got a 6gig plan with it so when im @ the cottage in the summer the wife can watch movies and such and i no well have enough data. i also like to stream radio on it.

i have had the "cell manager" app on the phone and its done a fine job monitoring my usage. just the other day i decided to learn to tether on my home computer and i realize the app is not tracking the tethering. i have since tried another usage monitoring app and it too wont track usage.

i have done everything the "official" way as per what the BB site says. i have a 6gig plan and free tethering so i figured id just do it all the "proper" way. i have no 3rd party apps to assist me in tethering.

i am aware that BB desktop tracks usage but it only does it evey time you connect (i think) and i dont want to be bothered adding it all up every month, and if i use it on different computers, its going to make it more complicated.

long story short. i want a tether tracking app.

any suggestions? do they exist?

PS. the wife has a HTC evo 3d, and i want a similar app for that too, if they exist.

If you're tethering through VZW you should be able to keep track through them either via website or My Verizon.

But that's usually separate from your data plan. I had unlimited data and tried VZW's tethering service for a month. They only gave me 2 gigs for the month. Might be different now though.

Root the evo 3d and there's lots of tether apps that you can use without sprint knowing about it.
