With Infospace Findit! going away, Tellme has an opportunity to be the perfect replacement if they will just make a couple of changes. For me, I'd like to be able to add an address that I find to my address book like I can with the infospace application. It kind of sucks to find a new restaurant with Tellme and not be able to just add it to my address book right then. Now I have to write it down and then add it manually later. A small issue I admit but I don't always have pen and paper with me.

I just downloaded this on my red 8100 on AT&T with OS 4.2, and when I say 'weather,' it does not tell me my local weather, but rather a list of businesses with the word 'weather' in them.. am I doing something wrong?

When I downloaded Tellme it prevented me from making or receiving any phone calls. When I tried to make any calls, it immediately gave me the busy signal & then said called failed; when people called me, it went right to voicemail. It took me about 5 hours to realize it was probably Tellme, so I had to uninstall it.

So, Sarah from Tellme, did that release for the Verizon 8830 ever come out? I don't see anything on the website about it.

BTW, I did download a version a few weeks ago and it seems to work on the 8830, just not with GPS. Not sure what this newer version will have.

Question Can't get TellMe Text function to work - any ideas?

I'm a smartphone/BB noob so not sure what I did wrong. I downloaded TellMe on my AT&T 8310 w V4.5.0.110. The splash screen and functions look different from the demo on their site (I see a rotary dialer not a speech bubble and I have a screen to type questions) and I do not have the text option.

Also, when I asked for a specific location, it found it, but when I mapped it - it was way off. However, when I asked for directions, it was correct again.

At first it thought I was in Redmond, WA but since I'm in the SF Bay area, I clicked on this to see if it would change cities (most items on screen weren't clickable). At that point I was able to find the GPS option and turn it on (the GPS didn't default on). Sure wish they had some sort or tutorial or expanded faqs over at their site.

My biggest question is how do I get the send text message option to work? The TellMe app I downloaded looks like a completely different version than the demos I've seen and I don't know how to fix this. I've downloaded a 2nd time and still no luck.
