Default Spyware detector

Hi everyone,

My first post. I'm quite a newbie when it comes to Blackberry.
I have a question about Spyware on the Blackberry Bold 9780.

An inlaw recently borrowed my Blackberry for an emergency phone call and disappeared from sight. I want to know if there is a way to find out if any kind of spyware could have been installed.
I've read that I can do a security swipe to remove any spyware, which is good, but it is equally important for me to know if there is spyware installed at all.

Thanks

Thanks,

those links are to spyware apps (which only makes me more paranoid in general). Is there any reputable anti-spyware app? I've heard of Kisses but there are doubts over the author.
Is there any app or manual method of detection?

This may not catch everything - others, please comment...

Go to Options (the wrench icon), choose Applications. On my BB, there are options to view the "Third party applications" - IE, not from RIM. Then there are "add-on" applications which seem to be those that are RIM or carrier installed. There is also a "Core" category.

Look at the third party applications that are installed. You should recognize the ones you installed.

On the applications screen, hit the menu key and choose "Modules". This shows you a list of all the modules in the system. It's more detailed and includes a lot of modules that start with net_rim. I'm guessing the "modules" option is just a different way of looking at the same data.

As far as I know, everything installed on your phone is visible in Options/Applications and Modules. Anyone else care to comment?
