"Shazam Encore" which is 4.99 is available to download but not the free version...

Awesome - thanks for the heads up.
The version 2.5.2 that was for the Storm worked, but it was obviously not totally compatible.
This one seems much better, at least visually.

Does the free version work well on the torch ???For that matter has anyone tried the pay version and can confirm its working properly ?

Free version doesn't seem to be available for the uk. However there are sources online that you can get the jad from

This was the old Shazam download link - the BB OS 4.7 plus version 2.5.2

I had free version previously. I just checked My World, and it had moved from Unavailable to Uninstalled. New version is 2.6, weighing in at 1.5MB.

Further testing for Torch users: Citgo station with 8 bays: Tagged the song playing in the car in the bay next to me.
Tagged the song playing from the PA system (after the other car left.) Price Chopper supermarket: Tagged three songs playing from the overhead
speaker system. (Had to explain to a couple of people why I was "Statue of
Libertying" my phone  )
All succeeded. Very impressive app. And phone |

I am a little gun shy as I also show it in unistalled. The last time that I re-installed an app from this category in My World. I had to do a restore from a DM backup.
