I upgraded to 2.0 yesterday and like the improvements!
I’ve had one issue with Quicklaunch. I have been unable to launch pictures from the QuickLaunch menu. I’ve had this problem with the earlier releases still have it with 2.0.
I am successful at adding image names to the menu but when I click on them, nothing happens. I’ve tried this with images that are on the SD Card and those that are on the device storage and have not been successful with either.
Steps I’ve followed are:
- Select “Add Items”
- Select “Audio, Video, Image, File etc..”
- Select “SDCard/”, “BlackBerry/”, “pictures/”
- Select one of the image files from the list of files in the pictures directory
- Edit the Menu Display Text and click “Add Item” button (at this point I am still seeing the list of files in the pictures directory)
- Click the return key to get back to the main menu
- Bring up the Quicklaunch menu. Click on the name for the picture… returned to the main menu, i.e., no picture displayed.
Any suggestions?

| | How to have QuickLaunch execute arbitrary key-presses?
I have a Storm 9530, and I'm a paid and happy user of Quicklaunch. Love it!
BUT:
I would like to be able to have QL execute arbitrary key-presses. For example, on my old Curve 8350 I used to be able to create a new Search item, save it and then assign an Alt-<N> keypress to execute it.
Since the Curve had a keyboard, it was super easy to hit the keys and see my Search results.
Now, with the Storm, its a real pain in the arse to do this. Show Keyboard, hit the keys, etc etc.
So, how can I have QL have a menu item that will "execute" ALT+keypress, etc?
THANKS SO MUCH for an awesome product!
RT.

If anyone finds the solution, PM me. I've got myself a nasty virus so the brain is too foggy to see the answer.

Ok here are my issues.
I can see 3rd part games; to add
like Tiltris and Bubble Army Demo.
But I cannot see the original
BB games; Wrd Mole, and Brk Brker.
Also a nice feature to add would be to
simplify addind media to the menu.
Seamlessly as if u hit the icon on the screen, and it brings up all your music files.
What does adding QL to the system menu do? Also if u do it is it permanent?
Thanks

. I am trying to upgrade to version 2.0 but my BlackBerry keeps giving me a "Error 907: Invalid COD" error. Uninstall your previous version of QuickLaunch before trying to upgrade to 2.0. This will allow you to download and install 2.0 successfuly.
I have downloaded operating sytems and installed without a single hitch. I have updated QL from 1.3 to 1.4 to 1.5 without hitch. Version 2.01 does not install and run. I have cleared the browser cache, removed previous version as recommended but no chance, COD error persists!! Cannot get the vers 2.01 to work
Desktop manager insists on loading 1.3.2.10 even when I wipe its folder. What gives?
