Default Question about: App Error 503

Does this mean I need to wipe my device and re-install?

I had never seen this before until today in using the BB Desktop Device Switch wizard. I got a new Tour replacement for a Tour with a trackball issue (not the left right failure... total trackball failure). So after the switch went off I looked over and there was an error screen. App Error 503.

I reset the device and resent the service books. At this point I believe it crashed again.

It's working fine now, and I've installed NOTHING that wasn't on my previous tour working perfectly. Is this just something that happens and I shouldn't worry about it or does it sound like it's kind of off kilter and I need to start over fresh?

C_X's reference says App Error 503 is an Internal Error. I would suggest that if your new Tour is now working perfectly, that you make frequent backups and continue to use it. If it occurs again, then reload your OS. There are a few problems that can occur when loading an OS, so I don't recommend you do it unless you have to.
