i keep my status light (green blinking) on under blackberry options (screen keyboard), when using the peekawho every time i get an sms message i get the popup and the light changes color, but when i dismiss the popup and go into my sms messages and delete that sms and close it out my green blinking status light stays off and doesn't come back on until i get another sms, then the cycle starts all over again, email messages work fine after i dismiss them or delete them and the green status light always comes back on blinking, i just think there is still a bug with the sms part of it..... they informed they were looking into this problem....

Yea it's still a beta so thats probably just another little bug. They've been super good about fixing any issues once they release a non-beta. They check this thread so im sure they'll get it fixed.

I think to make this fully killer, you should make the LED colors customizable and also make it blink. Its kind of annoying when that bright white light just shows up and stays lit up.

Any way to possibly make that happen?

Right now you can customize colors (White / Orange / Blue), some time the colors don't come out on the LED as we would like, but they do show different colors. You can customize it in the PeeKaWho app, to the right of Enable Email popup and Enable SMS popup options.

As for the LED, it would come on if you missed 2 emails. We are assuming that if you are actively using it, why have it come on. Yes, we are playing with blinking vs. light staying on. A few users have emailed us saying they like it ON so they know.

Also, we are working on a TIP SHEET / USER GUIDE since we know we have added many features already, so it might be overwhelming for new user just started with PeeKaWho.

Ahh okay. Now I see how I can change the settings. Also, does the LED stay on even when the popup fades away, or does it stop when its gone (from timeout)?

If you turn off the auto fade pop up option the LED continues to flash. I think there's currently a timer on it but it's pretty long, I've not had mine stop flashing yet

I turned off the Auto Fade Popup so the LED would continue to flash until I checked it. Occasionally when I get an SMS it flashes green ONCE and then flashes red until I dismiss it. And one time the LED didn't flash at all; it was a solid, INSANELY BRIGHT blue, so bright it was hard to look at and appeared almost white.
I actually carried it into my closet and it worked as well as a flashlight would have. lol. I'm sure its just a little bug. Maybe you could build it in as an additional feature: "PeeKaWho: Now featuring a flashlight!!"

We just rolled out v1.164, it has a PeeKaLab (think Google Labs). It has a flashlight function in the menu.

How awesome is that! It took me a minute to find where you stashed it but once I did I loved it. Great idea to have features in a lab like that. I'll be sure to forward any bizarre ideas I have!

Disappointing to say the least,Ive given up on smrtguard going with a different pop app that's Blackberry Alerts friendly.
