Make sure that your Browser Configuration on your device is set to "BlackBerry" for browser identification, not Firefox or Internet Explorer. Otherwise, the website cannot properly detect your device and OS.

Here is a problem I am having. I know the rocker switch on the side can be used to jump to the next song. The problem is comes about when I try to raise or lower the volume. All I get is jumped to the next song. Is there a way to fix this or how can I raise and lower the volume without using rocker switch? Or is there a way to use the rocker switch without jumping to the next song?

Thanks

First off I would like to tank Marc for keeping in touch with the berry users with updates and so forth. As far as I know the only way is the rocker. just try to turn up or down rocking slower. wait till the lil speaker come on the screen then turn up or down.

I just updated my Pandora on my Bold and it shows 1.1.2. did you try to delete 1.1.1 and reinstall Pandora.

Thank for the tip. I found out the just pressing the rocker once fast for a brief second brings up the speaker. Once it is up I can adjust the volume.

yeah, i'm using the 8520 precision zen theme so it matches everything. i was just curious

thanks for the great work Marc!

We updated the 5.0 build on Friday so that it uses the old-style "solid" icon for the Curve 8330 on 5.0, since it doesn't normally have the Precision theme available. All other devices on 5.0 should see the "wireframe" type icon that looks better with the new Precision theme.

I just downloaded the new build, I'm running a 4.5 on an 8320, and I got the "wireframe" type icon. It's not issue, i actually like it better, just thought I'd mention it.

Is there a way to disable the Mute key affecting Pandora at all? I listen to pandora almost all day at work, but when I want to get up from my desk, I take my BB with me, put it in my pocket, but want to have it in stand-by mode. I don't, however, want the process of putting it into stand-by to make pandora start playing again.

Is there an option somewhere, either in the pandora app or on the BB itself to stop that button from touching pandora?

Unfortunately there is no such option, however one "workaround" is to unpause Pandora before putting your device to sleep. If it's playing, then holding down the "sleep" button will first pause Pandora then put the device to sleep. I know it's not ideal, but it should work.

If it makes a difference, this is fixed in the 5.0 OS because the new APIs actually send us (the application) the correct events and we can actually distinguish between a single click (pause/play toggle) and holding down the key (stand-by mode).
