Palm to BB

Palm Desktop to Outlook is easy and free......

I don't know if this has been answered B4, But if your looking to go from palm to BB. Palm Desktop to Outlook, What ya do is if you still have the palm device you sync it with palm desktop to get the device up to date.

Then you reinstall your Palm software/disc that came with your device and when installing select sync pim outlook conduits. Then sync again to outlook. Now all your PIM data is in Outlook. And now you sync outlook with your BB. Done! Conduits for outlook is free and most time the outlook conduits is on the device software disc or you can download the latest version of palm desktop. Just make during installation be sure to check the correct choice to allow sync wit outlook instead of palm desktop.

Now if you don't have your device this is when you need to buy some kind of software to export then import to outlook and the sync outlook with you BB.

Pocket Mirror

I didn't see anyone mention the "Switch Device" option in Desktop Manager. It's worked for many.

Also, you could use your .csv file from the Palm to do an ASCII import into the BB. The trick there is to do the ASCII export from the BB first and use that file as your basis for the import. The field headers are important and shouldn't be changed. I just cut and past data from the Palm file into the BB file and then import. You find this under the Sync section.

I finally got PocketCopy and it moved all my data (Calendar, Contacts, Memos, Tasks) over to Outlook 2007 like a breeze. I then used the BB Task Manager (Synch) to bring the data into the BB. Amazingly quick and painless. It only took 2 months of tinkering and reviewing these threads. The BlackBerry techs agreed. There is no good way of bringing Palm files over from the Palm Desktop other than through Outlook. PocketCopy is the bridge and it's now all done!

Hi,
I have been using Palm Desktop for years and love the configuration.
Is there any way I can continue using Palm Desktop and directly sync with my BB device going foward (without using Outlook) ?
Thank you.

I'm in the same boat, and my research todate tells me there is no way of doing it. You cannot even use PDesktop with the Pre!

If you find a way, please let me know.

Question Cant find my contact

The calendar synch went perfectly, but I can't find the contacts from Outlook. During the synch it showed they were transferring. Any thoughts?

WantAStorm - Did you ever find a solution? I am trying to migrate from Palm Tungsten (using Palm desktop software) to Blackberry. I have a lot of user-defined fields, as well as mutiple phone, fax and email fields that I don't want to re-enter. Hope you can help!

I'm a longtime Palm user (Verizon Treo 700p) and just made the switch to Verizon Blackberry Bold 9650. I need to convert all my data (e.g., contacts, calendar, memos & tasks) from my Palm Desktop (Version 4.2) to Outlook 2007 and then copy it to my Verizon Blackberry Bold 9650. I was excited about doing the conversion through PocketCopy. However, when I read the fine print, the software 1.) does not support Palm Desktop 4.1.2 of higher, and 2.) Blackberry Bold 9650 is not listed as a trusted advice. Any suggestions on how to do the conversion?
