| | new berryweather sucks!! :(
I've installed an update for free berryweather app today, and I was very dissapointed- it has ads!!!
I've been a happy user of the free berryweather app, until today. They have also made some improvements to the graphics...but I don't care about better graphics. I HATE ads.
It was the only best, free and add-free weather app on the app world. It really pissed me off when I saw ads in this update. I regret that I have installed that update.
...so can I somehow get the older version back??
The paid version is too expensive, and it has many features which I don't need, or want.
Can someone please help me?
thanks in advance.

You can go back to your previous version of BW if you have conducted the recommended back ups of your 3rd party apps via DM, BBSAK, or similar program.
HTH.

It did say there were ads and not to update if you don't like ads.

thanks for reply everyone
@kellyjdrummer...I don't need paid version, free version has everything i need. I was happy with the free vesion, until they put ads in it.,
@MADBRADNYC I'm not sure I've made any backups, but I'll check if I did.,
@sam81 I just took a look at the "what's new in this update"...no, they didn't mention anything about ads there. I had no idea they would waste such a great app with ads.
btw...does anyone know, if I can download previous version from their internet site?

It's a pretty comprehensive app for free. I used it for a year or so before finally buying BW. I'm a bit surprised it hasn't had ads before now. Nothing prompts me to buy the full version of a favored free product like putting ads in it. Wait for the full version to go on sale, or watch for giveaways. BW is an app worth purchasing.

@mss-ca thanks, I'll try googling it.
@rrrebo I'll probably buy the full version, if it gets on sale or something...Maybe RIM will give it to us as a thank you gift, who knows. Since they gave us the Nobex radio, which is $9.99, just like Berryweather.

I never upgrade anything until I see some reviews on it. I saw that one last night and passed when I saw the reviews which were all negative since the upgrade.

I actually like the updated version. The ads don't bother me in the slightest; it is not the annoying, intrusive type anyway. I also have the icon/condition/temp set to show on my homescreen so I guess that is also why the ads are a non-issue for me.
For a free app, BW still does its job very well |

May I just politely ask why people get upset when someone tries to make money from their work instead of continuing to give it away for free? They should get something for their work. If they're not happy with what they're getting, they should try to get more.
Look at TV, you pay so much and still half the broadcast is ads on most channels.

If you're on Twitter, follow @bellshare. They are always having 50% off codes and giving away free copies of all of their apps.

^^Normally... THIS^^.
However, Bellshare has currently removed all of their apps from the MobiHand store due to non-payment.
So, until they re-publish their apps in that market, there will be no discounts offered.
AppWorld does not currently have a credit/coupon system in place to do this.
