The latest build that everyone has access to works perfectly for me. The latest test build was giving me some problems but after installing OS 191 the problems aren't occurring as much.

I have the latest version I could get from Crackberry (2.3.3) and it's still giving me problems. On the menu screen it's fine, but on the home screen it almost always shows "updating data." Sometimes the home screen will show one of the icons, but it's never the right one. Like it will be night and the moon will show on the menu screen, but it will be sunny on the home screen. I'm not super upset or anything, but I am looking forward to a fix!

The problem you are having is OS related. This is happening with all weather apps when using os 5.0.0.191. Simply move the position of the weather app in the app screen, then check the home screen. Then move the weather app back to the position you want it to be and it will update. After this initial move the weather app will continue to update the temp but will not update the icon. This is a known bug in os 5.0.0.191, it has been listed in all the findings and fixes threads for this os.

It's not just the 191 OS itself that is causing the problem but the 191 OS zen theme. I took the 191 zen theme and used it with 140 and the same problem occurs.

Oh, I guess I misunderstood the problem. I thought it was a compatibility problem between .191 and the application, and that's what DMG was trying to fix. I didn't realize it was an actual bug in the OS/theme. Sorry!

In everything I've read on several forums it seems that ALL weather apps. are having issues with os 5.0.0.191. I would tend to think this is an os issue and since we have so many leaked OS's floating around, it would seem to be an impossible task for any developer to be able to keep up with the changes. Until there is another official os for the Storm, I would assume this would continue to be a problem. Clearly os .191 has many bugs. As I suggested in a prior post, try using that as a temp. fix and enjoy all the new leaks!

DMG is currently working on getting the app to work for those that are on other carriers other than VZW and also for those that are having the app stuck on updating while running a 4.7 OS. The latest released build of SW (2.3.3) worked fine for me when I was using the 4.7 OS and currently with all the 5.0 OS leaks. The latest test builds (2.5.X) had some problems updating for me while testing it on 4.7 and with the early 5.0 builds but is working most of the time with the 191 build (it doesn't update on some reboots). But without a 5.0 developers kit, it is going to be hard to get the app working for the 5.0 OS. We will continue to do everything that we can find possible to get the app working for everyone before the next SW update is released to the public.
