Default Help - Question about 3rd party browsers

Not a cry out for help, just wanted to ask some stuff. I am new around this site and wanted to know about these other browsers I have been hearing about Opera Mini and Bolt. Keep in mind I am a USA resident ( some apps might not work for me ). What are some benefits from these browsers and where can I find them. I have a Sprint 8330..... figured you guys might need that info. Thanks in advance.

The benefits are the basics, some run smoother, faster, etc then others. Some work better on some phones than others, etc. IMHO I would go with Opera Mini but I still use the default and haven't seen any reason to change, it works fine for me. I believe to find them you can just search the Crackberry Appstore
BlackBerry Apps and BlackBerry Themes- Crackberry BlackBerry Software Store

And lastly, Welcome to the forums!

You should install both as I have. Each renders some pages better than others and has advantages over the others. For instance both bolt and opera use a normal tcp/ip connection which doesn't go thru RIMs BIS servers. So if BIS is having trouble these browsers will still load web pages

Ok cool sounds good to me, I take it they have a tut with it when you purchase to explain how to install..... Thanks for the input guys much appreciated.

I got one other question though. This is definitely gonna sound repetitive, however I have reed most of the post and find that some BB's work better then others in this case. So here goes the question youtube. Obviously it works just not well at times. Is there perhaps another media player available that would help with this. If not then maybe there is an upgrade/hybrid (I believe there is one available, saw it on the forums somewhere) from one of the more advanced phones that help with this problem. I know the tour from what I hear works very well with youtube and so does the storm. Thanks again for the your advice on the first question....

Agreed. I personally like Opera, but I haven't used Bolt. Heard good things about Bolt, though. Try both and see which you prefer.

As for the OP's question about YouTube, try the mobile version. YouTube - Broadcast Yourself., I think. It's not the best solution out there, but it's better than nothing. Otherwise, you'd probably have to convert the format somehow.
