Can somebody please help me with app world?

So a few days ago I got my new 9780. And yes I know I should have waited for the new ones that are coming in just bit.

But here is my problem. So I had to buy my phone off of amazon.com brcause I live in norway and there its really hard to get a blackberry at a reasonable price. The other reason why I orderd off of amazon is because all the phone there are unlockes when you get them. While if you buy it at a t-mobile it comes locked to that operator and you can only use it with a t-mobile sim card for a set time.

So like I said I got my phone off amazon and this morning I was going to try and go on the app world to see what was there that I could buy. But when I pressed the icon it came up that I was not connected to the wireless network. So I did a bit of research and I think I founs why.

I think that its because I didn't get something called a blackberry data plan or something like that..

So I was wondering if there was a way of usin the app world without having a BB data plan since I got it off amazon with no plan at all..

Unfortunately not... you'll need a BlackBerry data plan for App World, email, BBM, and just about anything else that uses data

Just call your network provider and have one added to your account

You'll need to contact your cellular provider and have a BB data plan provisioned before you can use BB App World. Once you have the data plan in place you can make use of all the features BB has to offer. Also, make sure that the BB you purchased is in fact unlocked if you haven't already. After you get the data plan provisioned you can set up and use email, bbm.

connect your phne to your computer... go to this site Blackberry Appworld .. register there.. see what you want to download.. and follow instructions its pretty easy... u can install even if u dont have tht plan or whatever..

Incorrect. You must have a properly provisioned data plan in order to use applications requiring a data transfer. You can direct install all the apps you want, but without a BB data plan they are useless.

mate i dont have the required plan and i can install whatever i want via my PC from the above mentioned site... so it aint 'Incorrect'...

He never said you couldn't download the apps...he said without a BB data plan, you cannot USE the downloaded apps that require a BIS connection.

zzzzz.. why wud i download if i cant USE them.... :| anyways.. i gave the option that i use.. yes if u mean to say the apps like poynt or four square.. then yes u need a plan.. but most apps, themes i can install from app world..
the requestor asked for using the app world and not any particular apps.. hence the option and explaination..
