I always follow up forum questions See my original post at the top.

Basically, checking logs with the method suggested above led me to find the application which was throwing the error. Contacting the developer got me a fix in one hour.

hi i got the same error on all the latest os ,s from after .442 when i treid to go on the internet via the browser icon i got that error and could not get it off the screen. and i dont have a lot of 3rd party apps on my phone so i thought it cannot be that. so i loaded the .996 os yesterday and got the problem again, but i always have the icon with wap "hidden" so clicked to show it and clicked on that wap icon one to go on net and the error did not come up, so i treid the browser icon and they both work with no java error

Yeah, I saw your OP. Which app and what was the final fix?

It is doubtful that you have to re-install the OS but you should remove your 3rd party apps one at a time until you see which one is causing the error.
How do you see list of third party apps?

I've had my BB Tour for almost a year and this is the first time I've had a problem.

"uncaught exception Java.lang.nullpoinvention" something,something???

how can I remove app that messed everything up OR at least save my contacts?

When you are given the backup optionz, what if nothing happens during transferring data process. I waited 30 minutes, still no movement.

Go to Options, Applications and at the top of the screen make sure that Third Party is selected. That is the list you need.
