Default BlackBerry Messages Launches Gmail App?

Is there a way that I can continue to receive push notifications for my Gmail accounts (alerts in the BlackBerry Messages app), and view email messages directly in the Gmail app when selecting to view them from the BlackBerry Messages app? In other words, I will receive a new email through BlackBerry Messages app because I have it set up through BlackBerry Internet Service. When I select to view that message, the message will be displayed using the Gmail app, and I can then continue to manage that message using the Gmail app (i.e. ability to archive or apply labels). This is similar to the Messages app working with BlackBerry Messenger, AIM, and Google Talk. Is this available/possible with the Gmail app?
