    Using Berryweather does have a setback ,It doesn't have Radar yet.Those crying "we want radar maps" kick back a little and enjoy some custom radar image.

    Customise Your Radar View
    Radar link below fills entire Blackberry screen with Animated local radar.You make some simple changes to link below and such radar can be yours.

    -http://www.accuweather.com/m/US/wigs.axd?city=VIRGINIA+BEACH&state=VA&w=320&h=240&type=_SIR&geoWidth=175&lat=36.80&lon=-76.05&anim=3&af=5

    Location
    Virginia+Beach =City
    VA =State

    BB Screen size
    320 =screen width
    240 =screen Height

    Zoom in & out of radar view
    175 = Lowering number zooms in location/Higher number zooms out location

    Location Coordinates
    36.80 =latitude
    76.05 =longitude

    The above need to be changed in link to your - Location ,BB Screen size and your Location Coordinates.
    Coordinate look up
    Address Map Coordinate (Longitude/Latitude) Finder

    When those changes are made you will have customized local animated radar that fits your BB screen like a glove.
    Load your custom link into QuickLaunch application or your Blackberry browser and bookmark.

    Location Coordinates
    36.846096 =latitude
    76.092102 =longitude

    Zoom in & out of radar view
    300 = Lowering number zooms in location/Higher number zooms out location

    BB Screen size
    320 =screen width
    240 =screen Height < add extra 5 - 10 to screen height so icon on right side of radar image doesnt show on your BB screen.

    Thank you! I use Quicklaunch and I was able to get this setup beautifully. Worked great. I made one link the 175 miles and the other 500 miles so I could see more of what's coming.

    Thanks a lot!!! Excellant info. Mods should make this thread a "Sticky"!
    This worked perfectly with Quicklaunch. Set one for 500 miles and one for 100 miles. See Bold 500 mile screenshot below(Bold is 480 X 320):

    Just wanted to show how I set up Quicklaunch. I think this is probably a more efficient way to view animated and up-to-date radar than if Berryweather incorporated it (which would probably lead to a slew of battery and memory problems):

    Thanks! I was using AccuWeather before, but they changed their maps on how they appear on mobile devices. This one rocks!

    Works perfectly using the BlackBerry browser. It will not work using the others. Opera Mini shows the map, but no animation. Opera Mini does not show radar animation for my other radar sites, so I'm not surprised. Bolt browser displays an error. It will not connect to the site.
    For people wishing they could ditch their BlackBerry browser, it pays to have it sometimes. This is definitely one of those times

    Is there a way to get the visible satellite images as well? I assume it has to do with the SIR code but I don't know what I should change it to.

    I think Wunderground radar looks better. I can't figure out what the best distance is as it is not in miles.

    yeah its a little tricky getting zoom in and out with Wunderground.
    I don't think it will show image below 50.

    Update
    I take that back , zoom below 50 displays image

    You cords may be off..maybe not inserting into link correctly...ive did it in the past.
    Try Changing zoom number to 400 then work your way down to radar image displayed.
