    Hey guys,

so I bought a bold 9900 yesterday, everything went smooth.

Today when I tried to download some apps I got the message:

    Sync Issue
There is an issue connecting to BlackBerry App World. Please try again

After an hour I got this message:

    App World Web Plugin Error
An error has occurred communicating with the BlackBerry App World Client. If you have content protection enabled on your device, please disable and try again.

Now it just does not recognize that my Bold is plugged into the computer at all, although the Desktop Software recognizes it....is this a phone problem or is the server down?

    Cheers,

I believe RIM is performing AppWorld server upgrades for the new content filtering system.

Ok, good, thanks for the answer.

Is there no way to download apps onto my PC import them into Blackberry Desktop Manager and then put them on my Blackberry?

I do not want to be reliant on this system....

    Back to this again:

    Sync Issue
There is an issue connecting to BlackBerry App World. Please try again.

If you are currently still having issues tethering to your PC, why don't you just download the AppWorld app from BlackBerry App World to download apps until you get the tethering issue sorted?

That 9900 is a wonderful device, and there is plenty of memory to handle the application.

    Hope this helps.
