Default App World is possessed!!!!!!

I have the 9930 from Sprint with .374 OS and everytime I open App World it would automatically send different apps icons to my pic folder. The longer I keep app world open the more pics are sent. I had app world open for not even 2 mins and a total of 42 pics was sent through. anyone have any ideas of why its doing that?

Its kind of annoying knowing that when you're done with app world you have to go back and delete hundreds of unwanted pics.

But they shouldn't be showing up in the pics folder at all.

OP - did you try logging out of appworld, rebooting and trying again?

Are they being stored on your sd card or internal storage?

At the moment the are being stored internally because I took out my memory card because it was corrupted. Gonna be replacing that tomorrow.

So when you open media and pics, they show right along with pics you've actually taken yourself or do you mean just that they are being saved and hogging space?

Nope, the pics I take myself goes to the camera folder, these go into the picture library folder. I just saw something, a folder popped up called .img...gonna delete that and see if that fixed it.

Edit: Ok, that did it, im not sure where that .img folder came from but I deleted it and they're not coming back. Thanks for your help

I notice this when I try to send a pic on pingchat. I only have about 2 hundred pics on my memory card but it shows I have over 500 Anyone find a fix for this? I was on the old version of Appworld. I'm upgrading now.

How do I even delete those pics from my device??

Maybe searching would have brought the thread up.

They save to their own folder. If you delete the folder, it will be back with a different name after you use App World again.

Yep, I regularly delete those temp pics when I'm connected via usb. Just deleted over 2MB of these yesterday.

Anyhow, what I see as the issue is that they are showing up as user pics in the picture library, which they should not. The appworld images should not be displaying at all in the media library. Looks like the op is all set anyhow.

Well they weren't in my pic gallery so I imported them and then deleted. I'm rebooting phone now. Hopefully that takes care of it.

Got a solution for you.

Go into your picture gallery and hit the Blackberry button on any of the offending pictures.
Go to properties and take note of where the picture is stored in the memory.
Plug the phone into a computer and navigate to the folder.
DO NOT DELETE - Appworld will just recreate the folder when you next log in.
Right click the folder and hit properties.
Tick the "Hidden" attribute tag.
Repeat for any unwanted pictures left in the phone.
Et Voila.
