9800 won't connect to BB app world

I gave my 9800 to my fiance but she doesn't have a data plan. So looking into it if you have 3.1 or higher then you should be fine to use wifi only. Well she has the newest version (3.1.0.60 if I remember correctly) and there is always the same error message saying trouble with network,verify connections. Am I missing something? Or will Rogers just not let her go on it just because of the wifi?

Oh, I don't know if she has a blackberry id set up. If she doesn't how can she when her bb app world won't load?

Hmm, it should work on WiFi. Here's how you set up BB ID

Options > Third Party Apps > Blackberry ID

okay, she used the same ID that was used on our playbook, that's probably the issue I would think. is there any way to reset it?

The ID?
I'm pretty sure you can use it with both the Playbook and the phone.
